Kids get Siri to say the funniest things and they are better at it, too. On Apple Watch, sharing is caring, except when it isn’t sharing…so friends come to the rescue! Questions to ask your carrier before traveling abroad with your iOS device. iWork and iLife are now free for all. Listen to our podcast in a new podcast player, we have recommendations! Use coupon code: intouchwithios for $30.00 OFF your Macstock2017 ticket.

• Tips:
Celebrate Spring with some iOS Easter Eggs! Here are some ways you can interact with Siri:
• Say, “Hey Siri” then ask your question right away with only a brief pause.
• Say, “Hey Siri” then wait for the audio prompt (two quick tones) and then ask your question out loud.
• Press and hold the home button down while asking your question out loud and then release the home button for the response. You will see a visual indication that your device heard you and is about to respond.

Here are some “Siri” phrases or commands you can speak out loud:
“Flip a coin.” “Roll the dice.” or “Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!”
Spoken in your best Batman voice, “Hey, ‘Puter.”

ITWIOS 004 What Happens in Vegas

Audio Link: http://traffic.libsyn.com/intouchwithios/20170405ITWIOS004.mp3

Melissa’s family Spring Break vacation was in sync with Dave’s March Madness vacation, so they all met up in Las Vegas, NV to take in the sights. Of course they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit the local Apple Store where they had a great time chatting with “Apple Store Steve.” He showed them some great new tips and they will share them with you! Use coupon code: intouchwithios for $30.00 OFF your Macstock2017 ticket.

Dave, “Apple Store Vegas Steve,” and Melissa

Tips from Vegas
1. Super-fast print to PDF: pinch out in the print sheet to save a PDF

2. Audio AND visual ways to ping iPhone from Apple Watch: long-press the iPhone ping button on Apple Watch and the torch will flash along with a single tracking sound

3. Catch an incoming call on Apple Watch and place it on hold to answer it on iPhone: turn Digital Crown to scroll up then tap ‘Answer on iPhone.’ Your caller will be greeted by your “Digital Assistant” and placed on hold while you retrieve your iPhone.

Use Digital Crown on Apple Watch to scroll up when a call comes through.

Tap “Answer on iPhone”

While the call is on hold, you can even ping your iPhone in the event you can not locate it. Same as the previous tip, tap and hold the iPhone ping icon and it will also flash the light to make it easier to locate by sight.
